What is Colon Hydrotherapy?
Colon hydrotherapy, also known as colonic irrigation or simply a "colonic," is a procedure that involves irrigating the colon or Large intestine with water to remove waste, toxins, and buildup from the large intestine. It’s preformed by a trained and certified practitioner. Specialized equipment Introduces filtered, temperature-controlled water into the colon through a tube inserted into the rectum. The water helps soften and loosen fecal matter, which is then expelled along with the water through a closed system. The idea behind colon hydrotherapy is to cleanse the colon, improve digestive health, and promote detoxification.
At Flume the Woods Gravity Method is used. This type of colonic uses a gravity system to gently cleanse the colon.
How it works
- A 5-gallon tank is suspended above the treatment table
- Warm, filtered water is introduced into the colon using gravity
it softens waste and carries it away from the large intestine
- The water and waste exit the body through a tube
- The first session includes going over your medical history and a colonic session and is typically 90 minutes. A regular session is around 45 minutes
